The Medical Assisting Program prepares the students for a career in the medical field. From the beginning of the program, the students are immersed in courses focused on developing the skills and knowledge required to be a productive and effective professional in the team-oriented healthcare environment. The clinical skills prepare students to perform duties of drawing blood, giving medication or assisting in laboratory procedures under the direction of a physician. Emphasis on office skills, communication skills, and human relations develops proficiency in office related functions that are integral components in developing a successful health care professional.
